Location and Group Rate Information
The ARGFest Planning Committee has selected the Radisson Hotel Boston to host this year’s festivities. In order to help defray the costs of the venue, we have blocked a certain number of single/double hotel rooms at a special rate of $189 per night, plus tax. The block of rooms will be held for the ARGFest-o-Con 2008 Conference group until Thursday, June 26, 2008. After this date all room requests will be on a space availability basis at the Hotel’s then prevailing room rate. All rates are net/non-commissionable and are subject to prevailing state and local taxes currently assessed at 12.45%.
Why Book at the Hotel?
- Conference room costs at hotels are reduced based on the assumption that room revenue will increase because of attendees. We have blocked 50 room-nights over the ARGFest-o-Con weekend and must book at least 43 of those to avoid additional fees. Note that one room night equals one room for one night, so a three night stay would be three room-nights, as would three separate rooms on the same night.
- Staying at the hotel keeps you in the middle of the action in the event that impromptu events occur.
- Stumbling to your room late at night is easier than finding and directing a taxi.
- Scrappy is staying at the Hotel.
- The Hotel has a pool. Hopefully indoors.

For internal tracking purposes, we’ve set up a survey so you can let us know if you’ve booked a room at the group rate and for which nights.
Room Reservation Procedure
ARGFest attendees are responsible for making their own reservations by calling directly to the Reservation Department at 617-482-1800 or by calling Radisson Worldwide at 1-800-333-3333. In order to receive the special rate, you must indicate that you are with the ARGFest-o-Con 2008 Conference group. Individuals responsible for making their own reservations will be asked to guarantee for late arrival with a major credit card. Should the individual “not show” or cancel by 4:00 PM one day prior to arrival, the individual’s credit card will be charged, or any deposit will be applied for the first night’s room revenue.
Checking In
The Hotel’s check in time is after 3:00PM Eastern Standard Time and check out is by 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Guests arriving prior to 3:00 PM will be accommodated as rooms become available. The Front Desk can arrange to check baggage for those arriving early when rooms are not available.
Parking
The parking fees are as follows:
- Overnight parking for guests staying at the Hotel is available for $31.00 self and $33.00 valet parking.
